Another "miss" for The Bahamas

Low Pressure System
Would I be presumptuous in saying that The Bahamas is truly a blessed nation. I'm sure many would agree that we have had our share of storms travelling in our direction, but one way or another they seem to not affect us as expected. Some would venture to say that the country could use some washing down due to the level of the domestic violence right now, but who am I to cast judgement on our people.  What we can never give enough of is prayer; prayers for our leaders in government, our religious leaders, families and our country as a whole.

There was that possibility that Tropical Storm Emily would break apart once it crossed over the mountainous terrain of the island of Haiti, and it did just that. The storm has been downgraded to a low pressure system that is still producing much rain over the southern Bahama island and tracking northwest. We must give thanks once again to our God Almighty for sparing us from the ravages of storms and hurricanes.

You may be wondering what to do now with all of the can goods, water and supplies you may have stocked up on? Well as you know, hurricane season does not end until the end of November so continue to keep watch and stay stocked up so you are not one of those who are rushing around at the last minute.

Quoting St. John Damascene, "Prayer is the raising of one's mind and heart to God or the requesting of good things from God."
