Hurricane Irene slams The Bahamas

Hurricane Irene slammed The Bahamas as a category 3 Hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale. The islands of Mayaguana, Crooked Island, Rum Cay, Cat Island are a few of the worst hit islands.

With Nassau being the capital of the country and having the majority of its residents was once again spared the direct hit as originally predicted. News from all of the islands are still coming in as power has not been restored to many of the islands.

Let's continue to pray and give thanks to God for having brought us through with no loss of life and minimum damage. We pray for all those affected islands who have major structural damage and loss of power.

Below are a few photos of the damage and clean up here in New Providence.
